As mentioned in the introduction of my first book, “What Do You Mean We Didn’t Save The World???,” I have enjoyed a wide swath of life: A Nova Scotian by birth, San Diegan by rearing, collegian baseball pitcher, semi-pro ice hockey player, vacuum/real estate/insurance salesman, special education teacher, minister, artist, musician, writer, photographer, traveler, student, husband, and father.

Marsha and I have been married since 1974 and live in the Seattle, Washington area. Our adult children, Sarah and Joshua, live with their families in the Vail, Colorado area.

After University I taught school for 8 years.  Then God, in one of His humorous moments, gave me the opportunity to be a pastor.  In the summer of 2011 I took a sabbatical to focus on what I called, God In The Creative Process.

I transitioned from the institutional church in June of 2012, after 23 years, to pursue Creative Story Telling to  Enlarge our Lives through writing.
